Wrap your brains around this... What if there were eggs that could remain dry in the soil for decades at a time! All they needed was a few special minerals and water to hatch. After hatching they grow so rapidly that their life cycle only needs a few weeks in a temporary puddle for these little animals to grow, mate and lay eggs for the next generation. In less than 2 weeks they can do everything needed for their species to survive. Our Aqua Aliens do just that! Actually, they thrive in this kind of environment. It is actually what nature designed them for.

You may be aware of the intense interest held by space agencies such as NASA currently focused on the Red Planet. The recent discovery of vast quantities of water hidden just a few feet below the planet's surface, whole frozen oceans, and most recently conclusive proof that it has actually been raining on and off out on that distant Red Dot in our evening skies!

What are the implications for life? They have almost everything needed to support life.

Imagine for a moment being a planet other than our own, a vast, hot, red and desolate planet. Amongst the rocky plains, or perhaps between wind swept dunes, there is a puddle or two. All that remains after a sudden  flash flood or just a meager down pour. The fresh water gleaming in the Martian sun.

If you could be there in your space suit you might kneel down and gaze into that puddle admiring the red-pink sky behind a distant mountain reflecting back at you from the water's surface. Then, suddenly out of the corner of your eye you see something rippling in the waters surface just over there. You move across to where it is, kneel at the puddle's edge, and take a closer look. If you didn’t have your helmet on you would be rubbing your eyes in disbelief. Could that be? Is that actually a life form swimming in the shallows?

These ingenious little organisms, are just the sort of animal that would evolve, adapt and even thrive there during such an unearthly wet season.  If there is or was a puddle on Mars at some time, what kind of aliens would most likely spring to life in it if life there were possible and had a chance to evolve? We believe it would be something much like our little Aqua Aliens.
