Sea Puggles 

These cute little spiky fellows from the sea side are the perfect little tank mates for your your "little sea garden" or Sea Monkeys tank.

Sea Puggles are in fact one of the many beautiful marine sea slugs and not very much like the ugly old slugs you might find in a vegetable patch. Sea puggles love to eat a very special diet we manufacture here at Little Aussie Products that we call "Golden Pearls". Sea Puggles do not eat vegetables like common garden variety slugs so if you are wanting a critter to control algae in your Sea Monkey tank then Coco Snails or Winkles (other critters we offer here in the shop) are your best bet for algae cleaning action. Sea Puggles need a richer diet and will only eat the very special diet that we supply with a Sea Puggles kit. We have supplied enough diet to last them one year.

Sea Puggles are very communal creatures and love to form what look like cute little "Puggle Piles" , you will see they congregate together and then climb up on top of one another to form an amazing "Puggle Pile". Each one then tries to wiggle down deeper into the group to be the most covered and secure within the heap. (its really fun to watch and oh so adorable see.) 

Sea Puggles are very easy to care for and will live happily in the same water that your sea monkeys come with, they will often long out last your Sea Monkeys too by virtue of having a longer life (approximately one year before each individual complets it's life cycle), they also have a wider tolerance to temperatures and most importantly they are completely safe and harmless for children, all though they may appear to have spines on their back like an echidna or porcupine, each spine is in fact as soft as a little balloon and you will see to your amazement that as they feed on the Golden Pearls they change colour from a grayish white to a lovely golden colour just like the food you fed them on. Maybe one day soon we will offer different coloured pearls too, so that you will be able to change their colour to any that is in the rainbow. Can you imagine it?

Why are they called Sea Puggles and how big do they grow?

Sea Puggles were named as such because they remind us here at Little Aussie Products of baby Echidnas, in Australia baby Echidnas are called "puggles" and that is how they got their name. Your Sea Puggles will grow to one centimeter or half an inch, exactly the same size as a Sea Monkey.
